Only you can hear my soul

         Moon
                   How many songs have resounded
                   Desires which, through the centuries
Have rent the heavens to reach you
Harbours for poets who do not write
And so oft lose their minds
You hear the sighs of the yearning
               And let everyone dream
Moon, look at me, listen to me

Only you can hear my soul

Antony Gormley

Antony Gormley has over the past 25 years revitalised the human form in sculpture through a radical investigation of the body as a place of memory and transformation. “I am interested in the body”, he says, “because it is the place where emotions are most directly registered. When you feel frightened, when you feel excited, happy, depressed somehow the body registers it.”

Once upon a time the colors of the world started to quarrel.
All claimed that they were the best.
The most important.
The most useful.
The favourite.

"Clearly I am the most important. I am the sign of life and of hope. I was chosen for grass, trees and leaves. Without me, all animals would die. Look over the countryside and you will see that I am in the majority."

Blue interrupted:
"You only think about the earth, but consider the sky and the sea. It is the water that is the basis of life and drawn up by the clouds from the deep sea. The sky gives space and peace and serenity. Without my peace, you would all be nothing."

Yellow chuckled:
"You are all so serious. I bring laughter, gaiety, and warmth into the world. The sun is yellow, the

Peter Gric was born 1968 in former Czechoslovakia. When he was a boy, his family were granted permission to holiday outside of the strictly controlled socialist territories. Unbeknown to him, his parents never planned to return, and driving to Austria instead of their state approved holiday destination, where they applied for residency.

Friedensreich Hundertwasser

Friedensreich Hundertwasser, (1928-2000) is considered to be one of the most important artists to have emerged from Europe since the end of World War II. His pursuit to express his philosophies concerning the environment and a reform to architecture afforded him a style of creativity that remains unaligned with any major art movement.
Although born in Austria, Hundertwasser's influences span the globe as he traveled and lived not only throughout Europe but also in Africa and the South Pacific. Austria will always be considered the primary foundation for the artist as it is home to the Hundertwasser museum (Museum Kunst Haus Wein) as well as for many of his most notable architectural projects. One of these projects is the famous Hundertwasser haus which, along with the before mentioned museum, draws

by Greno

The 19-year old artist is mainly self-taught and uses old-fashioned tools — such as markers, pens, crayons, acrylics — to create his illustrations. He has yet to break into commercial success, but as his style is developing and improving each time new images appear, we will likely see a lot of him in the future.

What characterizes his work overall is drama. The ethereal females that populate most of his work exude a dark, organic tension, and it seems that even the brightest marker colors do not quite manage to save them from some sort of looming peril. Or are we, the viewers, in fact, the ones who are in danger? Whatever the case, we are drawn in, interacting on an emotional level, surprised, looking for something.

Minjae Lee’s penchant for dramatic expression is clear also in the work of those he admires. His favourite photographer is the 55-year-old Japanese Hiroshi Nonami, whose women are equally capable of telling a

WATERWORLD - China

Atkin's Architecture Group recently won the first prize award for an international design competition with this stunning entry. Set in a spectacular water filled quarry in Songjiang, China, the 400 bed resort hotel is uniquely constructed within the natural elements of the quarry. Underwater public areas and guest rooms add to the uniqueness, but the resort also boasts cafes, restaurants and sporting facilities.

The lowest level runs with the aquatic theme by housing a luxurious swimming pool and an extreme sports center for activities such as rock climbing and bungee jumping which will be cantilevered over the quarry and accessed by special lifts from the water. With a stunning visual presentation as shown here, it's no wonder this project took home the first prize. This is a fine example of an ultra modern facility co-existing amongst its natural environment.

Patrıc Demarchelier

Patrick Demarchelier was born in 1944. For his seventeenth birthday, his stepfather brought him his first Eastman Kodak camera. Demarchelier learned how to develop film, retouch negatives and began shooting friends and weddings. After growing up in the northern seaside town of Le Havre, moving to Paris to work in photo labs as an assistant, Demarchelier began his dream run at British Vogue in the early ‘80s when it was commanded by the likes of Liz Tilberis and Anna Wintour, talent-spotters of the finest water who went on to helm Harper’s Bazaar and American Vogue in the early ‘90s.  Since the late 1970’s he has shot the covers for nearly every major fashion magazine. Demarchelier also shot international advertising campaigns for Dior, Louis Vuitton, Celine, TAG Heuer, Chanel, Yves Saint Laurent, Lacoste, Calvin Klein and Ralph Lauren. In 1989 he became the official photographer of Princess Diana. He later became the first non-Britain to photograph the British Royal Family. Since 1992 he has worked with Harper’s Bazaar, becoming its premier photographer. Demarchelier was awarded the contract for the 2005 prestigious Pirelli Calendar. In 2007, Mrs. Christine Albanel, Minister of Culture in France, honored Patrick Demarchelier as an Officer de l’ordre des Arts et des Lettres. His book Patrick Demarchelier Photographs was such a success that it was printed a second time after it 12,000 copies were sold. For a long time Patrick Demarchelier didn’t want to expose his work in galleries, much less sell it, until he was convinced otherwise by one of his art collector friends from New York. At that point, he said exposing in galleries felt like: “the beginning of a new career.”  Demarchelier has lived in New York City since 1975, and is considered today one of the top fashion photographers in the world.
